As a freelancer, I’ve learned the ability to adapt is essential to survive. It’s essential because there is something always occurring that can throw your plans out of order. When something goes wrong you have to suck it up and deal with it. Since you’re your own boss there is no one to complain to. You have to figure out what your next move will be. In the short span of being a freelancer, dealing with obstacles, potential clients, and the lack of support from peers has taught me how to adapt on the fly.
